Test Fail Recovery

Test Fail Recovery sessions

You've taken your driving test and it didn't quite go the way you expected?

This is not the end of the world.
It may be that you just weren't ready?
It may be that nerves played a part and muddled your brain on the day?
It may be that the training you were given was just not up to scratch and you were lacking information?

It really doesn't matter to us how or why you failed.

What we want to do is get you on the right path to achieve a pass on your next attempt.

When learners fail their driving test we consider the word fail not as FAILURE, but as
F= First A= Attempt I=In L=Learning

Use the feedback for your examiner as a way to hone your skills in the areas where faults may have been recorded.
If you let the fail stand in your way, it will play with your mind moving forward.

We always say that a driving test should not be thought about as a "test" but more as an "opportunity"
It is an opportunity for you to show an examiner how good you are at driving!
They will spend 40 minutes assessing your drive and give you their professional opinion of how that 40 minute drive went.

If there's faults that are recorded, just use their feedback to become better!

The initial session that we have with you, will be to asses, in our opinion where we feel you are, what you know and what we feel needs attention.
We would appreciate it if you bring along your test results so that we can see where an examiner marked you as not being at standard in their opinion, but our main assessment will be in the here and now, and not purely on what the test result came back with.
Test conditions can sometimes make people drive totally different to their normal drive, and we appreciate that.
Our assessment, might spot weak areas that need work, or it may be that we have to work on ways to help you control your test day nerves, so that your next attempt is a successful one.

The session will be 2 hours.
We need 2 hours to allow you to travel on a wide range of different types of roads with speeds up to 70mph and to have covered all of the driving test manoeuvres.

This should be achievable within a 2 hour session and to give you an honest feedback on what we see.
We'll then build a plan of action that will see your skills grow to the required standard that will see you with a full licence.

We will advise as soon as we feel you are at the required standard to pass a test, but will not hold you back just to drag out the process.
when you're ready you're ready and we'll tell you that.
